First of all, you need to choose a suitable, clean vessel. The sink is the most suitable, or, for larger items, the bathtub.

Start by pouring in lukewarm water and mix your latex detergent (only use detergent specifically for latex items) with it.
Also be sure to follow the dosage instructions on your detergent!

Now you can put your items to be washed into the container.
Immerse them completely in the water and wash them thoroughly.
It is very important that the latex is submerged, otherwise the dust will not dissolve.
If the mixture produces foam, too much detergent is contained. In this case, restart the entire washing process and pay close attention to the dosage instructions.
The whole process should take a maximum of 2-3 minutes.
In case of heavy soiling, you can repeat the process.

Then rinse thoroughly with clean water several more times.

Hang up to dry. Properly washed, the latex dries immediately! If it does not dry immediately, the latex is still dirty: repeat the process.
Especially brand new latex clothing has a stubborn protective layer due to the production process, which must be washed off without fail.
If old polish residues or dust and dirt are not completely removed, the latex cannot absorb latex polish!
Since dust, dirt & polish residues combine with the new polish, your latex clothing will then be greasy / chelated and not shiny.
Notes on the application
General
- To avoid latex sticking together, it is essential to continue treating latex clothing with special products after the washing process.
- Your latex clothing is oil and grease free after the washing process. Also sweat & odors and other residues are neutralized.
- Washed latex can better absorb high quality polishes & dressing aids.
