Polishing latex with oil - Classic in immersion bath
For a radiant shine: simply polish latex clothing with oil
The shiny look of latex clothing attracts attention and gives you a special appearance. However, in order for your latex outfit to always shine perfectly, regular care is crucial.
A simple and effective method to maintain the shine of your latex clothing is the use of oil. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to polish your latex with oil to achieve a radiant shine. Learn which oils are best, how to apply them, and the benefits this will bring to your latex clothing. Get ready to take your latex look to the next level and impress with a shiny appearance.
1
First, you need to choose a suitable, clean vessel.
The sink is best suited, or for larger items, the bathtub.
The latex should be freshly washed so that it absorbs the polish perfectly! (for more info see: Tutorial: Washing Latex)
Let the latex dry briefly, otherwise the polish in the next process will trap the moisture. This also then extends the drying time of the polish.
Note:
1. If the clothing is not clean, it will become greasy and sticky after the polishing process.
2. The drying process takes considerably longer if the clothing is not washed.
2
Start by pouring in lukewarm water and mix your latex oil (only use care products specifically for latex items) with it.
Also, be sure to follow the dosage instructions on your care product!
If you use too much, your latex clothing will become greasy or take an extremely long time to dry.
3
Now you can put the items you want to polish into the container.
The surface should be completely wetted with the polish.
Turn over large garments if necessary.
4
Now you can pull the latex clothing evenly out of the mixture.
The latex must definitely be submerged, otherwise the polish will not reach all areas.
Since the mixture floats on the water surface, it will now settle on your latex clothing.
Repeat the process for large garments.
5
Then hang the latex clothing to dry.
The best way to dry is hanging on a hanger.
With the correct dosage, the latex polish should be absorbed after some time.
If the latex is dry, the polish no longer sticks and is not greasy.
If the latex clothing is still greasy, or does not dry, you have taken too much polish.
Wash your latex again and repeat the process, paying particular attention to the correct dosage.
Our recommendation: If you want to polish the latex faster, use a latex polishing cloth.
Notes on the application
General
- For more thorough results, you can also use care oils in combination with a special latex polishing cloth.
- To do this, simply pour a sufficient amount of care lotion into the special cloth and polish your latex to a high shine.
Warning
It is very important to properly pre-treat your latex clothing before polishing and wash it with the right products!
The correct dosage of the care product is essential, otherwise the drying process will take considerably longer and the latex may become greasy.
With proper use, your latex will get the perfect shine.
